Gannett Peak Partners Represents Two Local Engineering Corporations
Edina, MN (8/11/11) – Gannett Peak Partners (GPP) announced the completion of two transactions: the relocation of Excel Engineering and lease renewal for Sunde Engineering.
In the first transaction Excel Engineering, an industry leader in electrical design services, hired Senior Vice President of GPP, Darrin Dufresne, to represent them with their relocation. Dufresne was able to negotiate a 10 year lease in Mounds View for 10,500 square feet of office space at a below market lease rate that included rental abatements, a tenant improvement package, and moving allowance.
In the second transaction Sunde Engineering, an established civil engineering consultation firm, utilized Dufresne to determine if relocation or renewing their lease would be best. Sunde determined relocation would be unnecessary and Dufresne negotiated a favorable 5 year lease extension for their current 5,525 square-foot office in Bloomington, which provided a downsize in space, and below market rental rates.
Dufresne stated; “The amount of leverage that can be created through representation is substantial, and often times a tenant isn’t aware of the savings their lease negotiation can provide to their bottom line.”
